How to disable Touchpad

Touchpad off: Open Terminal and run
synclient TouchpadOff=1

Touchpad on: Open Terminal and run
synclient TouchpadOff=0

With newer systems -> open Terminal and run:
dconf-editor
… and write to the search touchpad and turn touchpad off
